Facilitating Pet Therapy

in Ellesmere, Shropshire, and the Surrounding Areas

A pet too other people is the dog, cat or other animal that lives with you. To you its your companion, friend, child even baby. So when you lose that pet, the sense of loss and bereavement can be overwhelming. I had personal experience of losing our Jack Russell called Willie in 2022 and it was very hard to adjust. The bowl that no longer needed filling or the overwhelming reception you were given when you returned home even if you had been out for seconds, all this lost. Of course bereavement when a relative or friend dies can be unbearable but with pet ownership the added trauma of having to agree to them being put to sleep. All this can be very traumatic.

If you are in this position or about to be I can offer a service where you can share these thoughts without judgment and as an experienced counsellor I believe I can provide this space. If you believe I can help please click on "Book a session" below. I offer both face to face and telephone/zoom sessions. I look forward to meeting you.
